FRANKLIN AWAH
DDS, MD, OMFS, Board Certified
My interest in healthcare began at a young age when I saw the critical role it plays in the community. I witnessed the strong bond and trust between dental providers and their patients, which inspired me to pursue a career in dentistry. I attended the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC) for both my undergraduate studies and dental school, where I excelled clinically and was honored with the Oral Surgery Student Award.
After dental school, I completed a six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), during which I also earned my medical degree (MD). My residency provided extensive training in anesthesia, corrective jaw surgery, and dental implants, and I was honored to serve as chief resident during my final year.
I am board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and am a member of the American Dental Association. I am passionate about helping patients regain their smile and confidence, and my favorite procedures include wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, and corrective jaw surgery.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the Katy Trail or catching a Mavericks game. I am excited to join this practice and to serve the Texas Panhandle community.
BOBBI WEST
Office Manager
Bobbi brings over 33 years of experience in the dental field to her role as the Office Manager at POMS. With a background that includes 26 years in pediatrics and 7 years in oral surgery, she is passionate about creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through the door. Known for her kindness and steady leadership, Bobbi enjoys supporting both patients and team members to ensure the office runs smoothly and feels welcoming.
Married for 36 years, Bobbi is a proud mom of three and grandmother of two. When she’s not at the office, she loves spending time with her family, especially while hiking or traveling together.
SARA RIVA
Lead Surgical Assistant
Sara is an experienced Surgical Assistant with 6 years of dedicated work in oral surgery. She takes pride in applying her knowledge, skill, and attention to detail to provide exceptional care to every patient she meets. As the Lead Surgery Assistant, Sara is committed to creating a calm, supportive environment and ensuring each procedure runs smoothly.
Outside of work, Sara is a mother of two who embraces adventure at every opportunity. She enjoys skydiving, whitewater rafting, and other adrenaline-filled activities that reflect her love for new experiences.
